Kat Barrington
I’m the founder of M-Power Physiotherapy and have been a Physiotherapist for 18 years. I started my career in the NHS before joining the Royal Air Force (RAF) to specialise in musculoskeletal physio. I had an exciting career treating fast jet pilots, including the Red Arrows, as physio for the RAF Rugby 7s team and deploying to Afghanistan to keep our troops fit on the frontline.
The biggest adventure I’ve embarked on is becoming a mum to two wonderful daughters, Erin and Anna, and this sparked my passion for women’s health. Suffering with pelvic pain during pregnancy I struggled to find the support I needed and realised there must be so many other women desperate for help and not knowing where to find it. From that moment I made it my mission to help women feel empowered with their pelvic health.
“Life is a grand adventure”
When I’m not delving deep into all things women’s health, I love to travel, and going exploring with the family in our campervan ‘Claude’ is our favourite thing to do.
I love lifting heavy stuff and previously competed in Powerlifting. I also regularly practice Pilates and Yoga, and getting out for a hike in the hills makes me feel amazing.
